About Us

We are proud of our child-centered enrichment program for young children.  We are a nine month, half-day program offering a Monday / Wednesday / Friday or Tuesday / Thursday schedule, 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.  Our Kindergarten is a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

We offer a flexible, thematic curriculum, designed to foster developmental growth through active hands-on experiences.  Children make choices from the activities provided in the various interest centers and have opportunity to extend activities through their own creative efforts.

Mission Statement

The Children’s Place is a ministry of St. Andrew Church.  As such, the program operates within the theological and governmental framework of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

  1. The nature of God is known through Jesus Christ, and it is a nature of love.  Thus, God would have us raise our children to know God’s love in their lives; love others, and love the world into which they are growing.

  1. God has given gifts to all children.  It is our purpose to nurture these gifts in the children involved with The Children’s Place.  Therefore our program will seek to emphasis and develop the full range of gifts and abilities that God has given.

  1. All children are loved by God and therefore welcome at The Children’s Place.

  1. The Children’s Place is provided to serve the community of Denton in its need for quality childhood education.

Basic Assumptions

  1. As Presbyterians, we inherit a longstanding interest in education.  We seek to continue this commitment with The Children’s Place.

  1. The Children’s Place seeks to offer a loving Christian environment in which children are enabled to develop.

  1. Children may know God’s love more fully by knowing adults who love God and who are seeking to live in faithfulness to Jesus Christ.
